AAM Shanghai to Spotlight Low‑Alt Economy
Exhibits include full‑scale eVTOL models.
The Shanghai International Advanced Air Mobility Expo (AAM Shanghai), officially named in Chinese as the 2026 International Low‑Altitude Economy Expo (2026国际低空经济博览会), is slated to take place from July 22 to July 25 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, occupying Halls 3 and 4.1.
The event carries the official theme “Harnessing the New Momentum of Low‑Altitude, Unleashing a New Economic Chapter.”
Organizers report that more than 400 domestic and international enterprises will participate, alongside over 80 concurrent industry forums and public engagement sessions.
Several contract‑signing ceremonies are also planned.
The expo is jointly hosted by the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) (国家会展中心(上海)), Donghao Lansheng Group (东浩兰生集团), and Shanghai Guozhan Group (上海市国展集团).
Its industry partners include three national‑level trade associations — the China Civil Airports Association, the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the China Security and Protection Industry Association.
Physical exhibits include full‑scale eVTOL models such as Volant Aerotech, assigned to Booth B20 in Hall 4.1H, which will display its VE25‑100 model. The eVTOL developer has scheduled its signing session for the afternoon of July 22.
In addition to complete aircraft, the exhibition covers power batteries, hydrogen fuel cell systems, flight‑control computers, perception sensors, communication modules, carbon‑fiber structural parts, lightweight molding technologies, and additive manufacturing equipment.
Infrastructure displays include communication networking hardware, surveillance radar, and integrated platforms for airworthiness verification and operational support.
China Telecom and China Unicom are scheduled to present low‑altitude intelligent network solutions and digital airspace management tools. Huace Navigation and Qianxun Spatial Intelligence will display radar and positioning systems intended for low‑altitude monitoring.
Application scenarios are also part of the display.
UAVs will be shown in configurations for industrial inspection, emergency rescue, logistics delivery, and public security.
An exercise designated as the “Thousand‑Aircraft Showcase – Low‑Altitude 100 Major Application Flight Performance” is scheduled to involve approximately 100 industry‑grade aircraft and 1,000 formation‑flying UAVs.
The demonstration will simulate emergency response, aerial firefighting, and intercity transport operations.
A national aerial photography competition, co‑organized with China National Travel Magazine, will run alongside the exhibition. A youth‑oriented innovation and disaster‑response activity, titled “Low‑Altitude Empowerment · Embodied Intelligence – Youth Intelligent Disaster Relief Innovation Display,” is also scheduled.
For visitors, the exhibition opens daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with final admission at 2:00 PM on July 25.
The venue is accessible via Metro Line 2 to the National Exhibition and Convention Center station; visitors should use Exit 4 or 5 and walk to the West Entrance. Private vehicles should navigate to Gate 10 of the center, with parking available in the North Plaza area.
Admission is free, and pre‑registration through official channels is required.
Registration can be completed via the official WeChat mini‑program or the dedicated web portal.
Official updates and further details are published on the expo website and through the official WeChat public account operating under the name Low‑Altitude Expo (低空博览).
