AE200-100 Rollout Marks Full Assembly Completion
The aircraft completes major assembly and avionics installation, moving closer to crewed flight testing and commercial rollout.
Aerofugia announced today (September 29) the rollout of its flagship AE200-100 eVTOL aircraft in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
The event marks the completion of the aircraft’s major structural assembly and core avionics installation, bringing it closer to crewed flight testing.
The company said the milestone also signals the start of the certification sprint phase and pre-production stage.
The AE200-100 will undergo thousands of verification tasks as part of its type certification process. Aerofugia stated that the model aligns with leading global competitors and represents a “Chinese solution” for low-altitude passenger transport.
The company added that the AE200 has already received thousands of commercial reservations, with first-year production capacity fully allocated and strong market interest.
Orders span major economic regions, including the Chengdu-Chongqing area, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
At the rollout event, Aerofugia presented inaugural user certificates to its first batch of customers, including Sichuan Airlines, Hualong Air, the Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center, and Thailand’s SIT.
The company said the move reflects early user confidence and underscores its plans for accelerated commercialization.
Aerofugia’s Chengdu headquarters is slated to begin operations in 2026, integrating R&D, production, testing, and delivery.
