Albatross.Ai Wins APEC and Top 20 Honors
The submission showcased the Autonomous Flight Assistance System for crewed/uncrewed mixed operations in dense, high‑frequency, complex airspace.
Albatross.Ai, a low-altitude intelligent avionics firm based in the Jiande Economic Development Zone, has been selected for the APEC Asia‑Pacific Low‑Altitude Economy Innovation Navigator case collection and included in a domestic "Top 20 Most Investable Enterprises" ranking, the Jiande Aviation Town said.
The announcement followed AAM Shanghai, which drew 452 exhibitors and 570 aircraft.
The APEC certification, approved under the organization’s Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI), selected 20 cases globally across product, technology, application, and ecosystem categories.
Albatross.Ai‘s submission, focused on the research and industrial application of its Autonomous Flight Assistance System (AFAS) for crewed and uncrewed mixed operations in high-density, high-frequency, and complex airspace, was among the finalists.
The system uses a decentralized multi-aircraft collaborative swarm intelligence architecture to address collision risks in congested low-altitude corridors.
The case will be included in the official APEC “Sustainable Technology Innovation Strategic Development Seminar Report” and distributed to 21 Asia-Pacific economies.
Separately, Albatross.Ai was named in the “2026 Low-Altitude Economy Most Investable Enterprises Top 20,” a list compiled by domestic industry platform Yiou.
The selection was based on the firm’s commercialization prospects and long-term growth potential.
The company is currently the first and only domestic airborne equipment manufacturer to have entered the Civil Aviation Administration of China’s (CAAC) CTSO-C211 (Detect and Avoid System) airworthiness acceptance process and to have passed the Certification Plan (CP) review.
Jiande Aviation Town said the Jiande Economic Development Zone management committee has provided support to Albatross.Ai in site allocation, policy implementation, industrial fund matching, and airspace coordination.
The committee will continue to refine airspace management, flight services, and testing certifications to support the low-altitude supply chain.
Jiande Aviation Town is a state-level characteristic town in Zhejiang Province, China. The site was formerly the Hengshan Steel Mill, which operated from 1960 until its bankruptcy in 2003. Redevelopment of the site began in 2013.
The town hosts approximately 260 general aviation and related companies involved in R&D, manufacturing, and application services. According to official data, industrial output exceeded 1 billion yuan in 2024.
The town operates the Qiandaohu General Airport, which holds Zhejiang Province’s first A-class general aviation airport license and manages 5,700 square kilometers of low-altitude airspace, the largest in East China.
In addition to its industrial functions, the town offers tourism activities including skydiving, hot air balloon rides, and flight experiences.
