Author’s Note: Skyportz Collaboration Opportunity
Skyportz is making the IP freely available to test beds to support a regulator-approved commercial design.
I wanted to share a note from a peer of mine, Clem Newton-Brown, CEO of Australia’s Skyportz.
Clem and I both serve on the Board of Liaisons for the US-based Advanced Air Mobility Institute.
As some of you might know, Skyportz has developed the Aeroberm—a modular and lightweight solution for establishing single-pad vertiports.
Its design focuses on safety and affordability, with features that reduce downwash and noise, allowing vertiports on smaller footprints.
Early results show a reduction of wind velocity by up to 250%. Full-scale prototype production is planned for early next year.
Clem is now looking to connect with AAM test beds, OEMs, research hubs, and other organizations around the world.
Skyportz is offering the IP at no charge to test beds, with the goal of finalizing a commercial design endorsed by regulators.
If you know anyone who might be interested in trialing Aeroberm, Clem would be happy to hear from you—connect with him via LinkedIn or through the Skyportz website.
