AutoFlight Lands 100-eVTOL Order from CITIC
CITIC's purchase will support offshore and urban mobility, as well as new tourism initiatives.
AutoFlight has announced the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with CITIC Offshore Helicopter and CITIC Financial Leasing on April 29 at Wutong Pavilion in Luohu, Shenzhen.
As part of the deal, CITIC Financial Leasing issued a letter of intent to purchase 100 large eVTOL aircraft from AutoFlight. The order covers two models: the 2-ton cargo eVTOL CarryAll V2000CG and the 5-seat passenger eVTOL V2000M.
The cooperation outlines clear business applications, including offshore operations, emergency rescue missions, and high-end tourism services.
For the CarryAll V2000CG cargo model, the three parties plan to customize offshore oil platform logistics services based on specific operational needs such as oilfield size, service cycles, supply types, and personnel transport.
They also intend to explore additional applications, including low-altitude logistics, emergency material deliveries, and rescue operations.
For the V2000M, the collaboration will focus on low-altitude tourism, intercity flights, urban commuting, and transport connections, aiming to integrate local tourism resources and urban mobility demands.
The trio also signed a separate agreement with Luohu City Development, the developer of Wutong Pavilion, to jointly build a "low-altitude application ecosystem."
Located at nearly 700 meters elevation in the Wutong Mountain Scenic Area, Wutong Pavilion features a helipad that accommodates both helicopters and eVTOLs, making it the highest-altitude urban air mobility takeoff and landing site in Shenzhen, AutoFlight said.
The partners plan to deploy AutoFlight’s eVTOLs at Wutong Pavilion for aerial sightseeing and other services.
