Autoflight to Deliver Multiple eVTOL Aircraft to Hefei in New Deal
The eVTOL aircraft makers also plans to establish its East China regional headquarters in Hefei’s Feixi County.
Autoflight announced on April 3 that it has entered into a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Hefei City to advance urban air mobility solutions.
The agreement, signed on April 2, aims to develop low-altitude commercial operations and strengthen Hefei’s role as a hub for scalable low-altitude transportation networks in China.
Hefei is one of six designated pilot cities for eVTOL aircraft operations, along with Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing.
As part of the deal, Hefei will purchase multiple Autoflight eVTOL aircraft models, including cargo, emergency firefighting, and five-seat passenger variants. The aircraft will support air logistics, emergency response, aerial tourism, and urban air transport services.
While the exact number of aircraft ordered was not disclosed, Autoflight also announced plans to establish its East China regional headquarters in Hefei’s Feixi County, focusing on assembly, testing, operations, and maintenance.
AutoFlight's eVTOL aircraft portfolio includes the V2000CG Carry All cargo variant — the only ton-class eVTOL globally with both type and production certification.
The V2000CG has a maximum takeoff weight of 2,000 kg (4,409 lbs), a payload capacity of 400 kg (882 lbs), a range of 250 km (155 miles), and a cruise speed of 200 km/h (124 mph).
The firefighting version of the V2000CG is equipped with four extinguishing canisters, each weighing 100 kg (220 lbs), and is capable of covering an area of 800 sqm (8,611 sqft).
The company is also working toward certification of its five-seat passenger model, the V2000EM Prosperity, expected by 2026.
The V2000EM has a maximum takeoff weight of 2,200 kg (4,850 lbs), a range of 250 km (155 miles), and a cruise speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). It can carry four passengers and one pilot.
