EHang Partners with Hong Kong’s KC Smart Mobility to Advance eVTOL Deployment
July 19: EHang has inked a cooperation agreement with KC Smart Mobility, a subsidiary of Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings, to deploy EH216-S eVTOLs in Hong Kong, Macau, Xiangyang, and Shiyan. KC Smart Mobility plans to purchase 30 units under this agreement.
Announced in a press release, the partnership aims to advance Hong Kong’s low-altitude economy strategy, aligning with efforts to foster innovation and develop regulatory frameworks for eVTOL operations. Hong Kong's government, led by Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, emphasized leveraging local research capabilities and international advantages to drive innovation in the eVTOL industry, aiming to enhance tourism experiences through tailored strategies.
