XPeng Motors Launches New Flying Car Companies
August 26: Chinese media reports that XPeng recently established two new companies dedicated to the development of flying cars
The first, Guangdong AeroHT Flying Car Co., Ltd (广东汇天飞行汽车有限公司) was registered on August 19 with a capital of 20 million USD. It is wholly owned by HT Flying Car (Hong Kong) Limited, a subsidiary of Xpeng Motors.
On August 22, the subsidiary registered another company, Guangzhou AeroHT Flying Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (广州汇天飞行汽车制造有限公司), with a registered capital of 500 million RMB, and Zhao Deli (赵德力) as its legal representative.
Guangdong AeroHT Flying Car will specialize in the manufacturing and sales of intelligent UAVs, industrial and special operation robots, as well as aviation transport equipment. It will also provide aviation operation support, business services, and engages in technology and goods import/export.
Guangzhou AeroHT Flying Car Manufacturing will focuses on a broader range of activities, including the manufacturing and sales of aviation equipment, auto parts, industrial robots, and intelligent UAVs. It will also engages in the R&D of intelligent robots, sales of AI hardware, and the leasing of machinery and equipment.
The newly established companies are primarily geared towards supporting Xpeng Motors and Xpeng AeroHT’s flying car initiatives.
In separate news, the Land Aircraft Carrier officially began its summer testing phase in two locations, Turpan and the Qilian Mountains in China, on August 9.
On August 4, XPeng AeroHT secured $150 million in Series B1 funding and is now initiating its Series B2 round.
