December 14, 2024 — XPeng AeroHT's Land Aircraft Carrier successfully completed its first test flight in Shanghai's Lujiazui business district, marking the city’s first flying car flight.
According to the company, the test flight was conducted in complex urban conditions to validate the flying car's advanced control systems, stability, and safety.
Xpeng AeroHT's flying car manufacturing base, which began construction in October, will produce the flight module for the Land Aircraft Carrier with an annual capacity of 10,000 units. The company expects to complete the mass production plant by the third quarter of 2025 and receive a type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China by the fourth quarter.
Full-scale production and deliveries are planned for the first half of 2026.
