The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has opened public consultations on a draft mandatory national standard, Specifications for Civil Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operational Identification (Draft for Comment).

Released on February 12, 2025, the draft outlines technical requirements for remote identification, real-time tracking, and data transmission protocols to address growing concerns over airspace congestion, collision risks, and unauthorized UAV operations.

Stakeholders, including manufacturers, operators, and tech firms, are invited to submit feedback by March 15, 2025.
