Dubai Airshow: FlightWin & United Aircraft
Check out Booth 845 and Booth 458.
If you’re lucky to attend the Dubai Airshow 2025, pop in to say hello to two friendly Chinese tiltrotor manufacturers, FlightWin and United Aircraft.
I wrote about these two for the Vertical Flight Society’s Vertiflite magazine—you can read that article here.
FlightWin
Beijing Hangjing Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., operating under the English name FlightWin-Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., is presenting its full product lineup at the Dubai International Airshow.
The company’s exhibition features five UAV platforms ranging from 200 kg to 2.5 t (440 lb–5,500 lb), intended for applications including plateau rescue, maritime transport, forest firefighting, and material delivery.
The tandem twin-rotor FWH-3000 features a maximum takeoff weight of 2,300 kg (5,070 lb) and a payload capacity of up to 1,000 kg (2,200 lb).
Its 4.2 m³ (148 ft³) cargo hold can accommodate two 500 kg (1,100 lb) standard pallets or up to six injured personnel.
A slung-load variant allows the transport of large components via a built-in electric winch. The FWH-3000 includes autonomous takeoff and landing capabilities as well as precision delivery functions.
The single-rotor FWH-1500 is optimized for high-altitude operations, offering extended endurance, large payload capacity, high cruise speed, and a foldable tail boom for rapid deployment.
Applications cited by the company include forest firefighting, emergency communications relay, and long-range material transport.
The 200 kg (440 lb) class FWH-300 is suitable for agile operations in confined environments.
It supports integration with various mission equipment, including EO/IR pods, searchlights, and loudspeakers, making it applicable for inspection, mapping, forest fire detection, and training.
According to the company, the coaxial twin-rotor FWH-750 and FWH-450 illustrate FlightWin’s diverse technical approaches.
The FWH-750 (700 kg (1,540 lb) class) is compact, with a service ceiling up to 6,500 m (21,300 ft). The company cites applications including inspection, mountain search and rescue, and precision delivery.
The FWH-450 (500 kg (1,100 lb) class) features a domestically produced heavy-fuel engine for fuel efficiency and reliability. The company states it supports ship-based operations and maritime rescue
FlightWin is also presenting its Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Simulation Training System, which enables operators to practice in realistic virtual scenarios, including special situation handling.
The system includes assessment tools that provide objective measurement of trainee skills, supporting operational efficiency and safety.
Sadly, the Assault Eagle-2000 tiltrotor will not make an appearance at the show, although a desk model may be displayed…hopefully.

United Aircraft Group is, however, presenting its tiltrotor aircraft, the Lanying R6000, alongside four flagship UAV platforms in Dubai.
Considered the world’s first 6-ton class tiltrotor, the Lanying R6000 has a maximum takeoff weight of 6 t (13,230 lb) and a commercial payload of 2 t (4,410 lb).
It has a service ceiling of 7,620 m (25,000 ft), a cruise speed of 550 km/h (342 mph), and a range of more than 4,000 km (2,485 mi).
The aircraft has completed tethered research flights in helicopter mode, laying the groundwork for a maiden flight planned for December.
Future testing will include full tilt-mode flight tests, airworthiness certification, and the development of a crewed configuration, with eventual use in logistics, emergency response, and business transport scenarios
In addition to the Lanying R6000, United Aircraft is exhibiting the heavy-lift tandem uncrewed T1400 and the coaxial twin-rotor TD550.
The T1400 has a maximum takeoff weight of 1,400 kg (3,090 lb) and a useful load (including fuel) of 650 kg (1,430 lb), with a service ceiling of 6,500 m (21,300 ft).
It achieves a range exceeding 500 km (310 mi) and an endurance of 8 hours.
The aircraft is designed to operate stably in extreme temperatures from –40 °C to 55 °C (–40 °F to 131 °F) and can withstand strong winds up to Level 6 during takeoff and landing, and Level 8 in flight.
The TD550 has a maximum takeoff weight of 640 kg (1,410 lb) with a commercial payload capacity of 200 kg (440 lb) and a service ceiling of 6,500 m (21,300 ft).
The aircraft is designed for operation in temperatures from –40 °C to 55 °C (–40 °F to 131 °F) and is intended to combine high autonomy, ease of use, low cost, and simple maintenance.
United Aircraft is also showcasing the Q20 quadcopter drone, designed for inspection and logistics missions, and the Q100 agricultural UAV, tailored for plant protection and multi-function farming operations.
