EHang, CAST Strike Strategic Aviation Cooperation Agreement
Under the agreement, cooperation will focus on six key areas.
EHang announced it had entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology (CAST) to jointly promote the development of new aviation technologies and the low-altitude economy.
The deal, inked on November 11, will see the two sides collaborate on resource sharing, innovation, project research, technology development, standards formulation, and talent cultivation.
Under the agreement, cooperation will focus on six key areas — flight safety, operational support, route management, ecosystem development, technical collaboration, and regulatory standards.
The partners will jointly advance airworthiness verification, operational standardization, controller training systems, take-off and landing infrastructure, and urban low-altitude management platforms.
The effort aims to strengthen safety, efficiency, and compliance for emerging aircraft operations.
EHang and CAST will also integrate domestic and international aviation resources, exchange technological and market information, and promote the commercialization of scientific research outcomes.
Moreover, both parties plan to contribute to policy and regulatory development to support the sustainable growth of China’s low-altitude economy.
The partnership is expected to accelerate the commercialization of UAS and eVTOL aircraft, while enhancing China’s competitiveness in the global aviation technology market.
