EHang Drones Break World Record at Spring Festival
16 EH216-S units and 22,580 GD4.0 UAVs took to the skies in celebration.
EHang announced its participation in the 2026 China Media Group Spring Festival Gala Hefei Branch Venue on February 16, featuring 16 EH216-S units and 22,580 GHOSTDRONE 4.0 (GD4.0) UAVs, developed by its subsidiary Guangdong EHang Egret Media Technology Co., Ltd (广东亿航白鹭传媒科技有限公司).
The 22,580 GD4.0 drones performed in a coordinated formation, setting a new Guinness World Records title for the most drones airborne simultaneously controlled by a single computer.

Prior to the Gala, EHang said Egret Media completed multiple test flights with more than 20,000 drones at Hefei Luogang Park to verify their coordination, reliability, and precision in complex environments.
According to the manufacturer, Hefei Luogang Park includes two urban air mobility (UAM) operation centers capable of supporting commercial drone flights.
It is also home to Hefei Heyi Aviation Co., Ltd., which received regulatory approval last March — obtaining an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to conduct commercial “human-carrying” EH216-S flights — albeit under specific conditions.
According to EHang, Luogang Park is expected to serve as a permanent location for Egret’s drone demonstrations, supporting large-scale formation flights and the use of low-altitude technology in cultural and festive events.

Established in July 2016, EHang Egret Media Technology is a wholly owned subsidiary of Guangzhou EHang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.
The company focuses on drone artificial intelligence applications and airspace landscaping media, operating large-scale drone formation performances.
Its performances have repeatedly set Guinness World Records, including for “Most multirotor/drones airborne simultaneously” and “Most formations in a multirotor/drones display by the same group.”

Egret Media has provided drone formation services for events such as the Hangzhou Asian Games countdown, the Guangzhou Fortune Global Forum, and public welfare campaigns.
