EHang Wins Order for 50 eVTOLs for Guizhou Tourism
Stakeholders view Guizhou’s mountainous terrain and cultural sites as ideal for uncrewed flight services.
EHang announced today that it has received a purchase order for 50 EH216-S eVTOL aircraft from Guizhou Scenic Tourism Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guizhou Tourism Group.
The aircraft will be used to support low-altitude aerial tourism services in scenic areas across Guizhou province.
According to EHang, the order aims to explore new tourism applications using eVTOL aircraft in regions with complex terrain. Guizhou, known for its mountainous landscape and cultural heritage sites, is viewed by stakeholders as a suitable environment for uncrewed flight services.
The initiative aligns with the Guizhou Provincial Government’s draft Three-Year Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of the Low-Altitude Economy (2025–2027), which highlights low-altitude applications in tourism, logistics, and emergency response as part of its broader economic strategy.
Anshun, a city in Guizhou province, has been identified as a regional hub for the low-altitude industry due to its established aerospace supply chain and infrastructure.
EHang’s partnership with local stakeholders is expected to support the growth of the low-altitude sector through activities such as aircraft R&D, manufacturing, testing, and pilot operations.
Guizhou Tourism Group, which manages several scenic areas including the Jiabang Rice Terraces and Yunfeng Tunpu, said it plans to use the EH216-S to offer new aerial sightseeing experiences.
The company sees the aircraft as a way to expand tourism offerings and strengthen the province’s position as a travel destination.
Beyond the EH216-S order, EHang signed a cooperation agreement with the Management Committee of the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Anshun City.
The partnership aims to support the integration of aviation technology with local tourism and contribute to the province’s low-altitude economy goals.
