EHang Announces Completion of Mt. Fuji Vertiport with AirX and Mitsubishi Estate

June 5, 2025 — EHang announced that a new eVTOL vertiport, developed in partnership with Japanese operator AirX and Mitsubishi Estate Group, was completed on May 27 at Gotemba Premium Outlets near Mt. Fuji in eastern Japan.
The facility is designed to support the future deployment of urban air mobility (UAM) services in the region. EH216-S demonstration flights are slated to begin this fall.
EHang said the project is part of Mitsubishi Estate’s broader efforts to advance air mobility infrastructure in Japan.
The announcement comes as the company prepares to showcase its EH216-S pilotless eVTOL aircraft at the 2025 International Paris Air Show. EHang will be exhibiting at Outdoor Booth A6 at Le Bourget from June 16 to 22.
I have been to a “tea mountain” on the Lao PDR/China border. It was absolutely stunning. As one can imagine, wx changes rapidly. Video: EHang.
Meanwhile, on May 29, the EH216-S completed a demo flight over Jingmai Mountain in Pu’er, Yunnan—the world’s first tea culture-based UNESCO World Heritage site.
EHang said it is partnering with local stakeholders to build a low-altitude ecosystem around the site, combining heritage preservation, eco-tourism, and smart aviation applications.
