Plan: 5G and Sensing Upgrade for Low-Altitude Zones
The plan will follow a demand-driven, pilot-first approach.

On February 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with four other central agencies, issued guidance to strengthen China’s information and communications industry in support of low-altitude infrastructure and the broader low-altitude economy.
The plan focuses on enhancing network coverage, sensing, navigation, and intelligent connected systems for low-altitude airspace, leveraging 5G, satellite communications, AI, IoT, and cloud computing.
