Prosperity I Takes Centre Stage at 2026 Games of the Future
The public display follows a Prosperity I flight demo on July 24.
AutoFlight announced today that its 2-tonne Prosperity I eVTOL aircraft is on public display at the 2026 Games of the Future in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The event, which runs from July 29 to August 9, brings together more than 800 athletes from over 50 countries competing in eight disciplines that blend traditional sports, esports, and digital technology.
The display is taking place at Astana’s Qazanat racecourse and was organized jointly by AutoFlight and Alatau Advance Air Group Ltd. (AAAG), a Kazakh private company.
According to the eVTOL maker, more than 300 guests attended the opening display event, including Chinese Ambassador Han Chunlin, presidential aide Kuanyeshbek Yessekeyev, South Korean Ambassador Jung Ki-hong, and Michael Daniel, Director General of Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee.
Daniel’s committee issued the special flight permit for the demonstration.
AutoFlight said the opening ceremony on July 29 brought together the heads of state of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, alongside representatives of international sports organizations and technology companies. In his address, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said the event would “inject new momentum and vitality” into the global integration of traditional sports and esports.
The public display follows a Prosperity I flight demo conducted by AutoFlight and partner AAAG over the same Qazanat racecourse on July 24.
The flight, staged as a supporting event for the Games, was also greenlit under a special permit.
Both the July 24 flight and the ongoing July 29 display were made possible by legislative amendments signed in June that took effect in July, formally incorporating eVTOL aircraft and vertiports into Kazakhstan's national regulatory framework.
The amendments also establish rules for vertiport operations, manufacturer and operator certification, and a digital traffic management system for uncrewed aircraft.
The Prosperity I is a 2-tonne (4,400 lb), piloted eVTOL aircraft with a lift-and-cruise configuration, eight lift rotors and two rear propellers.
It has a maximum cruise speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) and a range of 250 km (155 miles) with reserve, according to company specifications.
The aircraft is designed to carry up to five passengers.
AutoFlight said the Prosperity I has logged more than 2,000 test flights; the company has applied for type certification with the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
