The “Suzhou Low-Altitude Economy Promotion Regulation” officially took effect on October 1, following its announcement by the Suzhou Municipal People’s Congress on September 30.
The regulation contains 56 articles across eight chapters, covering industrial development, infrastructure, flight services, safety, and more.
It defines the responsibilities of municipal and county-level governments to promote low-altitude infrastructure, support market growth, and encourage innovative applications of low-altitude flights in areas such as public services, transportation, logistics, tourism, and production.
The regulation also addresses airspace management, flight service platforms, and digital infrastructure, aiming to integrate low-altitude technologies with urban and industrial development.
To provide further guidance, Suzhou also released an accompanying document, Explanation Regarding the “Suzhou Low-Altitude Economy Promotion Regulation.”
