RX1E Series Enters Batch Deliveries With Zenith Batteries
The cooperation builds on a broader alliance between the manufacturer, Zenith New Energy, and the Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute.

Zero Gravity announced on August 18 that it has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu-based Zenith New Energy Battery Technology to supply aviation-grade power batteries for the RX1E series electric light sport aircraft.
The cooperation builds on a broader alliance between the manufacturer, Zenith New Energy, and the Liaoning General Aviation Research Institute, which are jointly advancing the integration of domestic battery, motor, and electronic control technologies in aviation applications.
With the agreement in hand, Zero Gravity said the RX1E-A and RX1E-S have officially entered batch deliveries.
Zenith is one of the first domestic manufacturers to develop aviation-grade battery systems, Zero Gravity said, adding that its product is the only Chinese battery to hold both AS9100D aerospace quality management certification and CAAC airworthiness approval.
According to the company’s product information, the aviation power battery system offers a continuous 3–4C discharge rate, an energy density of 320 Wh/kg, and high shock resistance to maintain structural integrity. It also supports 4C ultra-fast charging and uses a thermoelectric separation design with redundant system architecture to help prevent thermal runaway.
Zero Gravity noted it has received more than 100 confirmed orders for the RX1E series, along with over 1,000 additional expressions of interest.
The company described the current phase as the start of large-scale deliveries and identified 2025 as a pivotal year for expansion in China’s electric aviation market.
Looking ahead, Zero Gravity said it intends to extend its cooperation with Zenith into eVTOL projects and other next-generation aircraft.
