AutoFlight announced on August 23 that a delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) visited its facilities to discuss advanced air mobility (AAM) cooperation.

The delegation was led by CAAT Director-General Manat Chavanaprayoon and included Deputy Director-General Kajonpat Maklin, Director of Airworthiness and Aircraft Engineering Chatchai Puntragul, Director of Aviation Industry Development and Promotion Paramita Uthasin, and Acting Director of Unmanned Aircraft Standards Kasitbhat Intuyos.
The visit marked the second meeting between the two sides, the developer said.
Discussions covered airworthiness certification for large eVTOL aircraft, operational scenarios, after-sales maintenance frameworks, and personnel training. Regulatory standards and safety operation systems were also on the agenda.
According to AutoFlight, the Thai authority referred to its Sandbox program, which is designed to facilitate commercial verification of AAM technologies.
During the visit, AutoFlight presented its portfolio, including the 2-ton cargo model V2000CG, the firefighting variant V2000CGF, the 2-ton passenger model V2000EM, and its “zero-carbon” floating water airport concept named SUNSHIP.
The V2000CG has received airworthiness certifications from the Civil Aviation Administration of China and a type validation certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia.
AutoFlight is headquartered in Shanghai, China, with its main research, development, and manufacturing facilities located in Kunshan, Jiangsu province (near Shanghai). The company also has a European office in Augsburg, Germany.
