On May 31, the Guangzhou Municipal Government Office issued a notice regarding the publication of the Guangzhou Low-Altitude Economy Development Implementation Plan.

Let’s get into it.

In March, GOVE, the flying car developed by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd (GAC), took flight over downtown Guangzhou, marking its successful first demonstration in a complex urban low-altitude setting. In 2023, GAC successfully debuted its flying car, GOVE, after more than 300 test flights. Looking ahead, GAC plans to start flying car demonstrations in 2025 and hopes to establish a comprehensive smart mobility network connecting ground transportation and air travel across two to three cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by 2027.
