December 26, 2024 — EHang has announced a tie-up with with the People’s Government of Fangshan District, Beijing, to launch a National Headquarters for Low-Altitude Emergency Rescue Equipment.

Under the agreement, EHang will establish its headquarters in Fangshan District, where it will focus on advancing emergency response capabilities through UAVs and other technologies.

The HQ will serve as a hub for research and development, testing, manufacturing, and training in various low-altitude emergency applications, including firefighting, disaster response, and industrial rescue.

The two sides will also establish an Emergency Firefighting Industrial Park in Fangshan District, featuring innovation centers, large-scale production lines, and a smart command center. The park will integrate development, manufacturing, and operational aspects of EHang's emergency rescue products, the company said.

The announcement was made during the Beijing Low-Altitude Safety Emergency Industrial Park inauguration on December 25, where EHang showcased its EH216-F firefighting UAV, designed for emergency operations in complex environments like high-rise fires.

The collaboration aims to strengthen the low-altitude emergency rescue sector in China by creating a comprehensive ecosystem for the development and application of innovative rescue technologies. Video: EHang

According to EHang, the partnership supports China’s Action Plan for the Development of Key Areas in Safety Emergency Equipment (2023-2025), which promotes advanced technologies like UAVs for enhancing emergency rescue operations. The manufacturer aims to play a key role in shaping China’s low-altitude emergency management future.

Future plans call for EHang to expand across China by establishing regional emergency rescue centers, enhancing the country’s emergency response capabilities and fostering the growth of the low-altitude economy.
