YIVTOL Delivers First U.S. eVTOL Batch, Completes Tests
The ultralight S-ZERO will be on static display at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026.

YIVTOL on July 11 said it has delivered the first batch of its S-ZERO single-seat ultralight eVTOL aircraft to U.S. customers and completed multi-state flight tests.
The company did not disclose the number of units in the batch or the identity of the customers.

Deliveries covered Tennessee, Illinois and downtown Chicago. YIVTOL also provided training to customer teams.
The company said the milestone demonstrate the aircraft’s ability to operate across North America’s varied low-altitude environments and form a base for commercial deployment.
On the flight test front, the S-ZERO completed its first flight in Tennessee on July 6, followed by a verification flight in Illinois and an urban flight in Chicago “within days,” YIVTOL said.
The company added that the test campaign validated the aircraft’s adaptability across rural, suburban, and dense urban operating environments.
YIVTOL noted that it will work with the Federal Aviation Administration and state regulators to advance certification for commercial operations.
Plans call for expanded U.S. flight testing, refinement of wind-resistance and noise-reduction algorithms using data from customer training and verification flights, and development of supporting infrastructure and a local after-sales service network in North America.
The S-ZERO will be on static display at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026, where YIVTOL plans to engage in technical dialogue with attendees.
The startup views the event as a chance to introduce its Chinese-developed advanced air mobility technology to North American buyers.
